Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effect of  transformational leadership dimensions (Idealized influence, Individualized consideration, Intellectual stimulation, Inspirational motivation) on organizational commitment. The research was conducted  on a sample of Syriatel employees in Damascus consisting of (135) workers. The most important results reached were:

  • Departments in the Syriatel Company in Damascus adopt transformational leadership behavior in its four dimensions. The most adopted dimensions by these departments were inspirational motivation with an average of 3.93, and idealized influence with an average of 3.91. Intellectual stimulation and the individualized consideration (caring for individuals) were less adopted than the two previous dimensions with averages estimated at 3.75 and 3.64, respectively.
  • Syriatel employees enjoy a high degree of affective and persistent organizational loyalty, with arithmetic averages of 3.65 and 3.57 respectively.
  • The presence of a statistically significant effect of intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration on the dimensions of organizational loyalty of Syriatel employees
