The Impact of Work Motivation on Employees Job Satisfaction
A field study on the employees of Damascus University

This study aims to study the impact of the work motivation in its tow types "the intrinsic and the extrinsic motivation" on the job satisfaction of the employees of Damascus university". The method used is the descriptive method and it applied to a random sample of /370/ male and female employees of the administrative staff and the teaching body. To implement the aim of the study, the tow researcher designed questionnaires consisted of (66) segments. Then the results of the study were analyzed according to the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) program. The study came up to several results, following are its important results:
- There is significant impact of the work motivation on the job satisfaction, and the intrinsic motivation has more influence on job satisfaction.
- There are material differences of the job satisfaction level of the employees attributed to demographic variables (gender, years of the experience, job title).
- There is no material difference of the job satisfaction level of the employees, attributed to demographic variable (Job Position).
