Abstract

This study aimed to identify the impact of emotional intelligence on the work stress of media workers at Sama Satellite Channel as a model for Syrian TV channels from the point of view of media professionals. To achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive and analytical approach was relied upon. A questionnaire was designed and distributed to a sample of media professionals in the channel, consisting of 82 items. The study reached a set of results, most notably the presence of statistically significant differences in the evaluation of media workers at Sama Satellite Channel regarding the dimensions of their emotional intelligence and the pressures of their work, according to the number of years of work experience, according to gender, and the department in which they work, as well as the presence of a negative relationship between the dimensions of The emotional intelligence of Sama TV media professionals and the assessment of work stress, and the dimensions (managing others’ feelings, managing and controlling one’s own feelings, social skills and communication) were the most influential.
