Effect of Essential Oil extracted from Wood of Juniperus Excelsa M. Bieb against Adults of the Cigarette Beetle, Lasioderma serricorne F. (Coleoptera: Anobiidae)

Abstract

Laboratory experiment were conducted to evaluate the effect of essential Oil extracted from the wood of Greek juniper Juniperus excelsa M. Bieb on the adults of Lasioderma serricorne F. (Coleoptera: Anobiidae). Adults were treated with the following concentrations (125, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000 ppm). Significant effects on adult mortality reached an average of 91.84% with the concentration 4000 ppm after 24 hours of treatment, and an average 100
