Abstract

    The research aimed to identify the sources of risks to the production of rain-fed dietary legumes from the point of view of researchers in Sweida governorate, and to suggest methods to manage or control them. A random sample of 370 farmers from lentil and chickpea crops was taken in the second stability zone of Sweida governorate, who were interviewed in person for their opinion on the sources of risks to the production of their food legumes. The results showed that the prices of the sale of the crop ranked first among the sources of risks studied and the number of degrees about 1708 degrees and falls within the price risks, and the entities that buy crops ranked last and the number of degrees about 1459 degrees and falls within the marketing risks, and that the spraying program Preventive ranked first among the proposed methods of risk control and totaled about 1571 degrees, because of its effectiveness in reducing the risk for the spread of diseases and insects that cause significant losses to farmers, while the work of the farmer outside his farm ranked last and reached The research recommends the preparation of preventive spraying programs to get rid of diseases and insects, provide the capital that the farmer needs to pay his financial obligations, provide information on the market to address the problem of prices and address the reality of agricultural marketing and develop appropriate solutions Her
