Abstract

The compatibility by grafting was applied through grafting dates (the end of March, the end of May, the end of August) on local rose rootstocks (R.damascena , R.centifolia, R.canina ) and imported rootstock R.indica  with buds of four hybrid tea rose cultivars (Hot shot, Red one dallas). Observations were showed on the grafting percentage. The results showed significant difference of the first grafting while Red one dallas grafted on R.centifolia & R.damascena by 93%,and Hot shot on R.damascena showed percentage 80% of the first grafting. Red one dallas & Hot shot  that grafted on R.damascena have (15, 16) cm the average of the scion tall, the cultivars that grafted on R.damascena showed the largest plant stem diameter above the graft area (4.6, 3.3) mm, and showed significant differences in the diameter of branches that grown on the plant stem (3.267, 2.4) mm consequently but the control 2mm, the number of the branches which grown on the scion (2, 2) branch consequently and (2) branch for control, the average of branches tall (18.67, 23) cm consequently, but the control (11.25, 16.5) cm that affected by the rootstock strength and its Compatibility with the cultivar. The research showed the ability of using R.centifolia & R.damascena  as local rootstocks instead of imported rootstock R.indica after the perfecting of field monographs.
