Abstract

 

The right of the individual to restitution his nationality is one of the recognized and stable legal principles in the field of nationality regulation. Legislation differs among themselves in regulating this right and determining the cases in which an individual have this right. In this research, we will study the restitution system in the legislation of some Arab countries (Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan) A comparative study, in which we address in an introductory section the definition of the right to restitution as stated in the literature of Arab jurisprudence, as well as the distinction between recovery and similar concepts (Recovery, naturalization).Then we define the cases in which the legislator gave the individual the right to recover and indicate the conditions for exercising it. Oversight of the individual's exercise of the right of recovery, with reference in the summary of the research to the most important points of participation and differences between them.
