Abstract

Man in Islam has a great position, which made him the focus of the legal rulings, which came to take care of his affairs and manage his interests. To live happily in this world, and occupy himself with what God created in it for him, including: lineage and the means of proving it, and among these means what has appeared recently, such as DNA (genetic fingerprint).

The discussion in this topic revolves around the statement of the ruling on using (genetic fingerprint) to prove or deny lineage from a legal point of view.

Where it was first talked about ways to prove lineage considered in Islamic jurisprudence, then moved to talk about genetic fingerprint and its definition and statement of its most important characteristics, and its authority in establishing lineage or denying it according to contemporary jurists, and the researcher concluded that genetic fingerprint is evidence of proof in some cases without others As for the denial of lineage, there is no place for it, as many contemporary jurists have held.
