Aims and Scope

Damascus University Journal Legal Sciences is scientific, refereed, periodical and specialized magazine issued online by Damascus University in the Syrian Arab Republic . The journal publishes articles in both languages Arabic and English .  It obtained  the international number ISSN:2789-7621 (online).  

Open access statement

The journal is an open access journal that publishes original research articles, and all articles published on its website are available to all without any additional fees to readers. The Journal of Legal Sciences is a specialized scientific periodical journal concerned with legal studies in all its aspects (the legal aspect, discretion in passing judgments, etc.). It aims at enriching legal thought, publishing legal rules, and supplementing legal studies with everything that serves them by focusing on relevant research, as well as reviewing the contemporary legal thought (local and global).It is concerned with legal studies by presenting and studying the jurisprudential opinions, introducing rules of judgments to serve the interests of society, and reviving discretion in passing judgments that keeps pace with the developments of our age. The focus is on those original judgments based on the original and subordinate purposes of legislation, under the rule (an eye on the texts and an eye on the developments and calamities of the era). This is achieved within sound national values controls.This journal derives its sciences and materials from professors and specialized researchers (from the faculties of the University of Damascus, other public universities, and private universities), as well as researchers from universities of Arab and friendly countries, in addition to works, discussions and research of regulated and accredited research centers, whether in Arabic, English or French. It includes master's and doctoral research papers and scientific reports. This is to benefit from the products of human thought at all levels.This journal targets all workers and researchers in these fields, and it nourishes the minds of its readers, satisfies their research passion, and quenches their love for science and knowledge.

Copyright policy and license

The authors retain the copyright and grant the right to publish in the magazine for the first time with the transfer of the commercial rate to the Damascus University Journal for Legal Sciences under a CC BY- NC-SA 04 license that allows others to share the work with of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.Authors can use a copy of their articles in their scientific activity, and on their scientific websites, provided that the place of publication is indicted in the Damascus University Journal for Legal Sciences . The Readers have the right to send, print and subscribe to the initial version of the article, and the title of Damascus University Journal for Legal Sciences publisher.
