The study aimed to explain the central Shariah supervision in the in the Islamic banking, in Kuwait and Syria, and to present the similarities and differences between the experience of the supreme Shariah supervision in both countries.
The study method represented in the comparative analytical descriptive method, in presenting the reality of the supreme legal supervision as it is in reality, analyzing the regulations and instructions through which the supreme legal supervision is exercised, and comparing the experience of Kuwait and Syria with regard to the supreme legal supervision. The study included an introduction, four demands and a conclusion. The first requirement dealt with the nature of the central Sharia supervision, the second requirement dealt with the central Sharia control over Islamic banks in Kuwait, while the third requirement dealt with the central Sharia control over Islamic banks in Syria, and the fourth requirement was addressed. Dedicated to compare between the central Sharia supervision in Kuwait and Syria.
The study concluded with the agreement of both the Kuwaiti and Syrian experiences in the presence of the central Shariah supervision of the Central Bank in both countries, and the central Shariah supervision in Syria is advanced in time. 2020, and the central Shari’a supervision in Kuwait is distinguished in terms of importance and prestige, as it is represented by a supreme body for Shari’a supervision, while in Syria, the central Shari’a supervision is considered advisory.
