Hamasat Al Zurafaa between Similarity and Unique

Abstract

Hamasat Al Zurafaa by Al Abd Lakani Al Zawzani is one of the Poetic selective books known as “Enthusiasm” in this book the author imitated the Hamasa of Abu Tammam, which was the First book labeled with the name, “Hamasah”.

The author followed Abu Tammam's style it’s an extent that entitled the book its gain the same label.

 However, he differed from his style in many other aspects which made his book unique and special.

These characteristics manifested in the subjects the author added, which are worth shedding light on to reveal the reasons behind them and the purpose of

them, in order to touch the distinctive areas, which played a role in classifying the book as special and unique , in our Arabic library.

This “Hamasa” enriched this kind of writing, and widened its range, so that it became a unique work with special flavor and distinguished glamour.
