Abstract

This research aims to determine, calculate and evaluate the minimum flow of the basin. The problem of the research manifested in water waste and non-optimal investment of water resources in the basin.

The basin was divided to (9) hydrological basin according to the water  dividing lines. The effective precipitation was identified in the basin reaching (92.5 m m3) of which (64.4m m3) surface run off and (28.1mm3) underground run-off. The water waste that empties into the sea is (50.7mm3).

The hydrological relationship between surface and underground run –off during dry season was defined as an inverse hydrological relationship.

The average minimum flow volume and average renewable groundwater were calculated by probabilities.

A mathematical model was established for the relationship between the precipitation and the minimum flow .Therefore, wasted water resources must be invested during the water season by building small dams on water ways at the lower basin to store water sectors and to increase the water table in the areas surrounding the dams.
