Abstract

Researching the situation of women and ways of empowering and allocating them with focused attention does not mean that their issues are separate from the cause of the entire country including all citizens in Syria.

The research based its hypotheses on that access to the empowerment of Syrian women can only be achieved by creating an enabling environment within development policies without discrimination, and this empowerment leads to increased participation of women in development.

The research dealt with its demands: the concept of empowerment, women and the labor force, rural women, the impact of the war that Syria went through on the health of females and mothers, and the social participation of women (success stories).

The research concluded  with the following suggestions:

  1. Creating job opportunities and expanding options for women in all areas of education, economy, law, politics and health to ensure their effective participation in all spheres of life to advance society now and in the future.
  2. Providing training programs to empower women economically and train them to use modern technologies such as information and social communication skills.

  1. The participation of women in civil society to have an active role in these organizations.
  2. Activating women's rights laws and issuing new laws that guarantee equality with men.
  3. Firmly confronting the radical Islamist movement, which aims to make women their position without men.
