The problem of Sufi union in the philosophy of Ibn Tufayl And the unity of the intellectual position with Ibn Sina and Al-Ghazali

Abstract

The problem of the Sufi union is considered one of the most prominent problems that were and still are the subject of discussion, analysis and interpretation in Arab-Islamic thought, because of its close connection to the study of monotheism, which is considered the original basis in doctrinal investigations, and because the philosophical history written by the West presented to us the most prominent figures of Arab and Islamic philosophical thought, namely Ibn Sina and Al-Ghazali. As two opposing opponents, this research sets out to try to resolve the intellectual dispute in the problem of Sufi union through two references left by Ibn Tufayl in his introduction to the story of Hayy Ibn Yaqzan, one to Ibn Sina, and the other to Al-Ghazali, research came up with three demands, which are as follows: The first requirement: The stations of the knowers according to Avicenna. It includes: First: Ibn Sina and the Eastern wisdom. Second: The last three stations of the knowers include:

 2 The station of annihilation about annihilation.

 3 The place of survival after annihilation. The second topic: The stations of

the knowers according to Al-Ghazali. It includes: First: Al-Ghazali and the niche of lights. Second: The ranks of those who are excluded from the world. Third: The first rank in terms of truth. Fourth: The categories of those who reach the highest rank and their stations.
