The Rhetoric of Interrogatives in Al Ghazzi Poetry

Abstract

The Interrogatives aroused the attention of grammarians and rhetoricians alike, so the grammarians studied it in separate places without dedicating a chapter to it in which they gathered the scattered fragments of this topic, and most of their attention was devoted to the study of the interrogative (Hamza) and its positions and purposes, in addition to the differences between it and (Hal), while the rhetoricians were singled out  The question has an independent chapter from the chapters of the request construction in the Semantics of meanings, in which they studied the meanings of the Interrogatives, its tools and purposes by which it deviates from its basic meaning to other meanings that are appropriate to the context.

The questioning in the poetry of AlGhazzi writer has a remarkable presence, as it is not, in its entirety, limited to the real, direct meanings of the questioning tools; Rather, it often transcends them to the metaphorical meanings that suit the context, especially the report and the denunciation, and this researsh seeks

to highlight the metaphorical aspects of his rhetorical Interrogatives, with the help of the opinions of some old and modern Researchers. Adopting the Descriptive and Analytical approach in tracking the phenomenon of interrogation at AlGhazzi poetry with the meanings it contains and its impact on the context.
