Abstract

This research deals with the stone industries associated with alabaster during the Neolithic and Chalcolithic Ages in Syria, It follows the descriptive approach analytical manner, It is divided into two sections. The first is devoted to study alabaster products during the Neolithic Age, While the second part covers alabaster products during the Chalcolithic Age. The alabaster products discovered in the Syrian archaeological sites dating back to the Neolithic and Chalcolithic Ages have been relied upon as a main source of information. With the aim of giving an integrated idea of ​​those industries in Syria during that period, The originality of this research stems from the fact that it is considered the first research dealing with craft industries related to alabaster in Syria during the Neolithic and Chalcolithic Ages. This research is limited to include the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic geographically, While chronologically, it includes the Neolithic Ages (10,000-6,000 BC) and Chalcolithic (6000-3200 BC),Objectively, they include alabaster products in terms of their quality, its function, and its manufacturing techniques, and its spreading areas.
