Zalim bin Mahoub Al-Oqili and his role in the political and military events in the Levant from the year (357-369 AH / 967-979 AD)

Abstract

The struggle over Bilad al-Sham occupied an important stage in the stages of the Fatimid and Qarmati struggle for control over it, and here the star of Zalim bin Mawhib began to shine in the sky of the events that took place in this region, as he played an important role in political and military relations and events, sometimes on the side of the Qarmatians, and at other times on the side of Fatimids in pursuit of his personal interests and ambitions.

It is worth mentioning that if the historical sources and references were lacking in information about his political and military role, they also neglected to mention anything related to his family or his scientific role, if any.
