Abstract

The research seeks to study the wars between the Mahdist state, led by Abdullah Al-Taeyushi and Abyssinia, which extended between the years 1885- 1892,highlighting the historical relations of Sudan with Abyssinia from the third century BC until the establishment of the Mahdist state at the hands of the Mahdi in 1885, when his reign was not witnessed A clear war, as fate did not give the Mahdi long  time, so that Abdullah Al-Taeyushi would take over after him, and during his reign the conflict between the Mahdist state and Abyssinia intensified, and the war did not end until the year 1892, with an agreement between the tow states in order for each of them to devote himself to his own affairs.
