Arts in the Levant Paleolithic
Abstract
This research deals with the arts of Paleolithic in the Levant in two ways: first, represented by studying the arts in all its aspects through the current local field data, the second by attempting to explain the cultural superiority of arts between the Levant and Western Europe during the Upper Paleolithic. Where, in Europe, the Homo Sapiens Sapiens reached a very advanced stage at the level of arts (Painting, Sculpture, Music, Ornaments and Decorations tools). While, in the Levant, we note the lack of those achievements, in order to identify the truth of the matter and to answer the questions raised among the researchers, which were the most prominent: is the European cultural superiority during the Upper Paleolithic a reality? Or is it related to excavation methodology and the nature of the excavated sites in both regions?
