Abstract

This research explains the study of the structure of textile materials in the era of the Roman Empire, and how to manufacture yarns from plant and animal fibers, and includes knowledge of the dyes that give textile materials a spectrum of colors, in addition to the organization in which the Romans excelled in terms of their division of labor, and their eagerness to meet the customer’s desires .

The research also clarifies the role of clothing in the lives of individuals as a

means of aesthetic and artistic expression, and a true reflection of the individual's social and economic status.
