Abstract

This research seeks to study the role of ships in Meso ptamia from year 2800 until 539B.C, by definig the names ships in ancient texts, then searching for talking about ships in Mesopotamian archaeological evidence and the cuneiform texts(Sumerian, Akkadian,Babylonian,Assyrian) that confirm the use of ships in Mesopotamia, passing through the definition of shpipbuilding technologies by talking about the most important the materials from which the ships are made, then he mentioned the types of ships known to Mesopotamia.
