Abstract

This essay is talking about the Roman Design of Palmyra city, as an example of Romanian cities in the central Syria, which is firstly, explains the Hip podomian Design of the city, with clarifying the importance of the straight street in it, which contains the triumphal arch. Secondly, the assay deals with the Romanian buildings in Palmyra, such as the temples, cemeteries, Amphitheater, baths and the Forum. Finally, the importance of

this research is the comparison between the Romanian cities in middle Syria with the northern and southern one, and the principle of the comparison was choosing some of whom according to its importance, Apamea northerly and Bosra southerly respectively.
