Abstract

Ancient Egyptian sciences were closely linked to religion, making them inseparable from its sphere. Since their inception, they became part of religious teachings, even though they developed, but not at the pace that this profession experiences when liberated from constraints. The religious influence on medicine was profound, leading to its association with religious incantations. This research elucidates the categories of physicians, their training, their relationship with authority, the temple, and the military, as

well as how healing was practiced and the significance of the papyri that have reached us, and the connection between embalming and physicians. It summarizes the medical reality in ancient Egypt, its religious and scientific foundations, and how the ruling authority interacted with them, along with the extent to which the poor benefited from their knowledge, culminating in clarifying the importance of magic and sorcery in contrast to medicine, which deprived it of essential scientific factors, giving it a spiritual hue and psychological support that brought people closer to the temple.
