Abstract

This study deals with Mamluk buildings in terms of their components as raw materials, how they are used in construction, and the types of workers in their construction in terms of their professional and craft differences. It focuses on the control of the Mamluk state in following up, monitoring, and implementing work related to completing construction, cladding, avoiding fraud, and controlling what would make these buildings... Able to perform its function and the intended purpose for it, Mamluk construction used various raw materials, such as limestone, sand, mortar, and gypsum, in addition to another group of metals and wood from multiple sources, which were used to serve buildings of a multi-disciplinary functional nature, where they were built

Mosques, schools, links, khanqahs, markets, baths, mills, and other buildings. Administrative history books were keen to present a clear picture of the strict control that was exercised over workers, the quality of raw materials, the mastery of cladding, and the durability of construction in this era.
