Abstract

The research deals with the topic of “Occidentalism” and its concept, which means “the science” of studying the West by Eastern thinkers. Before that, it touched upon the concept of Orientalism and its goals, and the most important racist theories on which Western political discourse was based during various stages with the aim of fueling conflict between civilizations and fueling wars between their countries. And its peoples.

Accordingly, this study addresses the reality of “Occidentalism” in contemporary thought, demonstrating the necessity of establishing it as a science, highlighting its desired goals and objectives, and its importance in confronting the clash of civilizations and Orientalist discourse with a racist, colonialist orientation, highlighting the most important difficulties that still prevent the establishment of a “science.” Occidentalism, and the most prominent obstacles that stand in the way of the "Westernized", leading to presenting some perceptions and proposals that may overcome some of these problems, in order to form the first nucleus of this science.
