Abstract

Arabs became an important component of the great power schemes in the conflict between Sasanians and Byzantines, Arabs had a privileged position on the Byzantine Sasanis border, the participation of Arab tribes in the wars between the two states was limited to extending or rejecting aid to one or the other side, The Sasanist and Byzantine States also sought to extend political and economic influence over certain areas of the Arab country, as the Byzantine Sassani conflict has formed different facets over the centuries. The Byzantine Sassani conflict and the entry of Arabs as third parties to this conflict have led to continuous wars between the two parties, in which Arabs were partners.

The Sasanist and Byzantine States also sought to extend political and economic influence over certain areas of the Arab country, as the Byzantine Sassani conflict has formed different facets over the centuries. The Byzantine Sassani conflict and the entry of Arabs as third parties to this conflict have led to continuous wars between the two parties, in which Arabs were partners, both Sasanians and Byzantines have recognized the benefits they derive from their alliance with Arab tribes in securing their state's borders from the Arab raids, and from the possibility of benefiting them in their wars with each other, both Sasanians and Byzantines have recognized the benefits they derive from their alliance with Arab tribes in securing their state's borders from the Arab raids, and from the possibility of benefiting them in their wars with each other.

Another feature of the conflict between the two major States is the appeasement of the large number of Arab tribal masters with gifts, enticing financial grants, privileges and surnames to carry out border patrolling and control. Sassanites turn to Manzara and the Byzantines turn to Ghassana later to carry out this task
