Abstract

 

This research studies the possibility for improving the environmental situation of Dier Azzor city. This improvement will eventually produce to agricultural, social and economic development. We use LANDSAT-8 image (20, March 2014) multispectral in the visible bands with 30 m resolution as mean to cover the study area which is located in the south of city in the heart of the desert (Shamia Badia). The method of research bases on the method of visual interpretation of image through, the differentiation of the color (RGB) of the objects, which are represented in the satellite image, and the visual texture, and structure of the elements of the image and environmental and ground its parameters. In addition, we use Digital Evaluation Model and Geographic Information System.   In addition to the previous knowledge of the researcher and frequent visits to the study area. The result of the research is to identify seven qualified sites to be specific development projects in environmental, agricultural, economic and social terms, which can be integrating in the durable development plans in the study area
