The similar formal features of Al-Wasiti miniatures and the paintings of the artist Edouard Shahda

Abstract

This research examines an important aspect of the artist Edouard Shahda artist experiment, in light of its relationship with Yihya Ben Mahmoud Al Wasti. This experiment is one of the Syrian modern plastic methods, which found in the aesthetics of Islamic art a visual and intellectual rich source to build its plastic elements, through standing by a group of plastic aspects which have been employed plastic in the process of building the painting  including: Dramatic Scene Composition Symmetry Perspective Flattening Designation ,In addition to a number of other artistic aspects.
