Heat exchangers play an important role in engineering installations and are considered one of the essential elements in thermal power plants as condensers, and water heaters in heating systems within plant installations, as well as for the heating of fuels, and in various branches of industry: food and chemical industry, where they are used to heat different types of liquids and solutions Engaged in technological production processes. The effect of geometrical and hydraulic parameters those play an important role in determining the surface vertical shell and tube water heating exchanger have been studied, and found that by increasing the diameter of the water tubes of the heater decreasing the surface area and the value of hydraulic losses and increasing the height of its pipes, the same effect were found when increasing the water velocity. When the heat load increases its surface area and the number of its tubes increase, so the same result were observed when the water temperature increases, or the vapor pressure increases as it leads to a decrease in both the surface area and the height of its pipes.
